Material application, Group presentation on window applications

I sew 4 bags & a hat for a group presentation. The fabric I used were given by a window application showroom. I believe that most of those fabrics are linen (except multi-striped fabric--this may be cotton) and commonly used for high-end type of curtains, as well as bags. For lining, I used the materials that I collected from my school--various kinds of free sample fabrics were found in school.

30cm adjustable set-square cases
Order for my Interior design classmate |
Zipper opening |
Velcro opening |
I sewed a cover for the 30 cm adjustable set-square the other day. I used a zipper to open/close the cover so that it would be easy to take this set-squere out whenever I needed to use. I made the cover because I didn't want this equipment to get damaged while I would carry to school.
A classmate sew this and fell in love with this idea. I got an order from him immediately. Using the fabric he liked, I made another one tonight.
A zipper opening is quiet handy, but it is quite complicated process to attach a zipper in the lined case, especially if the case is a triangle shape. I tried to explore a better shape for the case--easier and faster to make while maintaining the practicality. So, I made a second one with Velcro tapes. It was easier to make than a zippered one, but I'm not 100 % happy with this one yet. There is still room to improve... there must be a better way to make it simply and more time-efficiently way...

Residential design, Zen bathroom, Re-packaging assignments
Loose style rendering-Inspired by Kumiko Inui (Pastel) |
Pastel |
Tight style rendering-Inspired by Kengo Kuma (Watercolour) |
Watercolour |
Last semester, I completed my Zen bathroom design assignment. I used Copic marker for rendering.
This time, my teacher asked me to pick 2 distinct rendering styles (Loose drawing and Tight drawing) , which were done by other professional designers. I chose Kumiko Inui for Loose one, and Kengo Kuma for Tight one. Then, the teacher asked me to re-package my bathroom design in those 2 styles (Meaning "coping other people's styles"). I used pastel for the first time in my life--took me a while to learn how to use this medium, but I quite enjoyed it.
